We hope you'll enjoy them

The Cambridgehire Golf Club AGM January 2020
Approximately 30 members enjoyed a curry meal and drink prior to the AGM which followed at 7pm. Attendence was good and the reports and discussions lively and interesting. Our Chairman and General Manager, Peter Botterill, gave a open and frank talk about the plans for the future development of the hotel and our club. He and our Golf Course Manager Matt Davis, who distributed his report, answered members questions. This was followed by the reports from officers which had been sent to member beforehand. The evening drew to a conclusion with the re-election of our Club Secretary Peter Williams and our Treasurer Paul Brading for another 3 year term.
Draft minutes of the meeting, together with all reports, will soon be uploaded to the website in the Members Area. ( If members need the password for access contact Rosemary Hay at email@example.com)
55+ members and staff enjoyed an evening of questions on a wide variety of subjects ( fortunately multiply choice answers were given!) The evening began with a complimentary drink, provided by our General Manager, followed by a curry and dessert which was enjoyed by all. The quiz competition was really good fun, the photos below show some of the participants and particularly the winners, you'll know who was in the winning team by their joyful faces!

Our Club Championships took place over the weekend of 8th and 9th June, in very poor weather on Saturday which resulted in the players playing later (Ladies Championship) having to abandon play due to flooded greens. This has been rescheduled for the end of July. The Men’s Championship continued and at the end of Sunday, after 4 play-off holes against Stuart Moore as they tied on 166, Martin Churchley became the 2019 Men’s Champion. Congratulations to him and all other winners.

Division 1 winner Paul Brading nett 153
Division 2 winner Chris Bass nett 158
Our Club President Rosemary Hay organised a family and friends Golf event. It was divided into 2 parts, a 9 hole Texas Scramble and an individual putting competition. We all enjoyed the day very much despite a chily wind blowing. The day was rounded off with a very nice afternoon tea. A selection of photographs of prize winners and the playing teams are shown below and also in the Galley.
