CLUB NEWS

Golf Updates.

Dear Members,

Please find attached June newsletter with updates and news in and around the golf course/hotel.

I’m pleased to inform you all from that the golf bar will be opening from the below dates for an initial two weeks, after these two weeks permanent opening times will be decided and advertised –

Wednesday 13th June                     12.00pm – 2.30pm

Sunday 17th June                              11.30am – 3.00pm

Tuesday 19th June                            12.00pm-2.30pm

Saturday 23rd June                          11.30am – 3.00pm

We have chosen these times to maximise the potential usage in the initial two weeks, during these times I would ask all members to give the golf bar their full support, there will be feedback forms available for you to share your comments as these will be valuable for the golf bar development.

I have attached the menu which will be available to all members while the golf bar is open. Food has already had discount applied, members discount will still be applicable to beverages.

I look forward to seeing you all soon and continuing to work with the members to grow our membership and enhance our club!

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any further questions.

Kind regards,

Ed Sandford

Club Championship 2018,Sat 9th and Sunday 10th June.

Congratulations to our 2018 Club Champions.

Craig Thompson and Grace Eastment.

Congratulations to Craig Thompson on winning the Men's Club Championship with scores of 79 and 77 for a total of 156.

Craig just pipped Rory Adams who had led by four after the first day. In the nett competition the

Division 1 winner was Matt Winter after a superb nett 68 on Sunday finishing 2 ahead of Matt Cornwell. Division 2 was won by Wally Carson two shots ahead of Martin Crook.

Congratulations to Grace Eastment, who once again is the Ladies Club Champion with gross scores of 80 and 81. Runner -up was Ann Martin. Winner of the nett prize ( Rowlinson Trophy) was Sui Wong with nett scores of 76 each day.

Well done to all who took part over the two days on a course set up at its best. Thank you Matt and his team. Thank you also to President Rosemary who took lots of photos.(see below) and organised the choccy bars etc, which were much appreciated  Disappointingly several players did not play on the Sunday which makes it a little difficult for the organisers and can be unfair on playing partners.

...and finally I look forward to welcoming you to

Captain’s Day  on Sunday 22 July,

the sign up sheet is on the notice board now.

best wishes, Men's Captain, Chas Guest

Captains Dinner Dance, Friday 17th February 2018

Approximately 100 members and their guests enjoyed an excellent dinner dance hosted by our 3 2017 Captains. The 3 course meal was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient, the band QED ( which had Colin Start the Men's Captain on bass guitar ) was so good everyone enjoyed dancing and most importantly there was lots of chat and laughter.

It was a great way to end the 2017 year and look forward to the 2018 season.

Many thanks to our Captains, Colin, Roy and Lynne.

Below is a small selection of the photos taken, apologies that the quality of these is not up to the standard of the rest of the evening.... not sure if that's because the photograher had had  1 glass of wine too many or because the camera battey went flat!
