Lady Captain Ann Martin and the Ladies Committee welcome new ladies of any ability to the Cambridgeshire Golf Club. We are a small and friendly section, enjoying both competitive and social golf. We play our club competitions on Saturdays and Wednesdays and also meet for a social 9 holes on Monday mornings. Players of all ability are welcome to play.
The Captains Charity this year is Cancer Research UK.
Details of friendly matches both Ladies and Mixed against other local clubs are to be found on the Club fixture list on Intelligent Golf (IG). A highlight of our golfing calendar is our Ladies Away Day where we enjoy a day of golf followed by dinner and prize giving. This year it is on Wednesday 7 September.
Another date for your diary is Lady Captain’s Day which is on Wednesday 27 July.
This year we are delighted to be hosting 2 major events: the county Audrey Nicole Cup (Div. 2 meeting) on Wednesday 8 June
and the East Region (Cambs/Beds/Herts/Norfolk/Suffolk/Essex) County Girls Match Days from Monday 1 to Wednesday 3 August. We last hosted this event in 2016 and it was a great occasion, so we hope to do the same again.
We are fortunate to be able to participate in this wonderful game called golf, so please make the most of every opportunity to play, whether it’s in Club fixtures, County competitions, Opens or just a friendly 9 holes.
Wishing you a very enjoyable 2022.
Ann Martin.
