PGA Head Professional

I look to build a team of coaches to work with the club and grow the game locally. I pride myself in customer service and am fortunate to have a great team around me at CGC.

Aaron Howard

Having grown up in Scotland playing at Gleneagles, St Andrews courses and hidden gems such as Taymouth Castle I got my handicap down to plus 1. I became Gleneagles Club Champion before turning pro.

I originally moved to the Cambridge area with my wife in 2010. Having participated on the Europro Tour at that time, I then achieved my PGA teaching qualification at Saffron Walden GC. Having spent 10 successful years there as an assistant, I then became Head Professional at Cambridge Country Club and worked there for a further 4 and a half years.

I have gained a lot of experience in both privately owned and members clubs and seen how the exclusive top clubs operate in both Scotland, England and for 3 years at El Bosque, Spain.

I have over 30 years experience studying under master professionals Pete Cowen and Butch Harmon. I enjoy participating in regional events with members and have a real passion for player improvement.

My philosophy is to keep the game as easy as possible for people. I aim to meet their goals and requirements, working within the player’s constraints and with minimalist swing disruption.

I’m thrilled to join The Cambridgeshire as Head Professional in 2025. I feel the layout and condition of the course is excellent and the club has limitless potential.
